You can delete your book&play account and your personal data yourself, from inside the app, at any time. No email, no waiting for us to act.
1Delete from the app
- Open book&play and sign in.
- Tap the Profile tab.
- Tap the gear icon (Settings) in the top-right corner.
- Scroll to Account and tap Delete account.
- Read the summary of what will be removed, then tap Confirm deletion and re-enter your password (or the code we send you) so we know it is you.
Your account closes right away and you are signed out on every device.
2If you cannot open the app
Email support@bookplayapp.com from the address registered to your account, with the subject Delete my account. We verify the request, complete the deletion within 30 days, and email you when it is done. There is no charge and you do not need to give a reason.
3What gets deleted
- Your profile: name, photo, email address, phone number, bio, sports and home area.
- Your upcoming court and pitch reservations, which are cancelled and released.
- Open matches you host, which are withdrawn from the feed. Players who joined are notified.
- Pending coaching requests and tournament entries, which are withdrawn.
- Messages you sent in direct and match-group chats.
- Your device tokens, so notifications stop immediately.
4What we keep, and why
- Match results your opponents already confirmed stay in their match history, with your name replaced by “Deleted player”. Removing them would change other players' levels.
- Records we are legally required to keep, such as reports of misconduct, fraud or safety incidents, and any related dispute records.
- Aggregated statistics that can no longer identify you.
- Encrypted backups, which are overwritten on a rolling cycle and fully purged within 30 days.

Deletion is permanent. Your level, match history and fair-play score cannot be restored, and signing up again starts a new account from zero.
Cancel any upcoming bookings, lessons or tournament entries first, and check the venue's or coach's own cancellation terms. Because fees are paid directly to them and not through the app, deleting your account does not cancel anything you owe them.
5Just want a break?
If you only want the notifications to stop, you do not have to delete anything. Turn off push notifications in Profile → Settings → Notifications, or in your phone's own settings for book&play. Your level and history stay where they are.
